Gerard Sidhu is a mixer, producer and writer based in Melbourne, Australia. As one half of the international electronic duo, Strange Talk, it is this first-hand experience as a signed artist that’s given Gerard true understanding of the artist and mixer/producer relationship and the intricate process involved.

Strange Talk has toured extensively both internationally and locally, performing at festivals from Good Vibrations and Parklife through to SXSW and Falls Festival.  The duo has supported big name acts as Foster the People, Pink, The Presets and Broods to name just a few.

For several years, Gerard called LA home, and this allowed him to work with some of the world’s top Songwriters and Producers such as Brian Lee (Lady Gaga, Post Malone,) and Andrew ‘Vox God’ Bolooki (Lil Nas ‘Old Town Road’).

He has notched up nearly a decade of experience as a producer, mixer and recording artist, creating tracks that saw the No. 1 position on the Billboard Uncharted Charts (Climbing Walls), and in Snapchat’s international advertising campaign (Young Hearts) as well as numerous on-screen features in Hollywood films and TV shows such as The Intern and Glee.

This led Gerard to remix international artists from Foster the People through to Jarryd James and Troye Sivan, and work alongside world-renowned mixers such as Rob Kinelski and Tony Hoffer on his own projects. The collaboration with this calibre of industry talent provided invaluable insight and allowed Gerard to carve out a successful solo mixer/producer career.

The intimate knowledge as signed artist, mixer and producer, combined with his work ethic saw Gerard mixing and producing music for up and coming artists as Los Leo, Juno Mamba, Okenyo and Real Life to name just a few. Specialising in indie, electronic, pop and hip hop, Gerard continues to work with Australia’s biggest names.

He is renowned for truly understanding an artist’s vision and being heavily involved in every aspect of the creative process. It’s Gerard’s intimate approach stemming from decades of experience, and his meticulous attention to detail that lifts the final result to the next level.
